PINOCCHIO - Moscow State Ballet

The magic of ballet brings one of the best-loved children’s fairytales to the stage in Pinocchio, the story of the wooden marionette who dreams of becoming a real boy. Created by the woodcarver Gepetto, who longs for a son, Pinocchio escapes from his workshop and falls into a series of adventures with exotic characters, including a devious cat and dog, a talking cricket, and the Blue Fairy, who makes the puppet’s nose grow longer every time he lies, before all turns out right in the end.

Creative choreography, charm and imagination take audiences on a touching journey when the marionette faces risks and temptations, visits strange shores, and even lands up inside a whale. It’s a ballet that captures the hearts of children young and old, as the wooden puppet finds he finally belongs in the world, and discovers that dreams really do come true.
